我用英文读伟人:交运青协雕像清扫活动

为了让同学们更好地了解伟人，2017年11月9日下午，交通运输与物流学院青年志愿者协会进行了雕像清理活动，对西南交通大学犀浦校区一号教学楼后的张维先生纪念像进行了清扫。在清扫过程中，同学们也更深地了解了张维先生。

活动初，精神焕发的志愿者们，在约定集合时间前10分钟，到达了集合地点。首先，按原策划案，对该项工作进行了明确的分工，每个志愿者都分到了一份工作，接着，大家根据安排有序地开始了工作。

每一个志愿者，怀着对张维先生的敬意，认真地清扫着雕像的每一个角落。同时，大家也通过雕像的介绍，更深层次地了解了张维先生，让我们也跟着志愿者们的步伐，从下面的英文介绍中追溯张维先生的生平。

Zhang Wei (1913.05.22 - 2001.10.04), borned in Beijing , is China's famous experts in mechanics, structural mechanics engineering education. He is also one of academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of engineering. He studied in the Department of civil engineering of Tangshan Jiaotong University (now Southwest Jiao Tong University) in 1929. He received a master's degree in engineering from Imperial College London in London, and received a Ph. D. in engineering from Berlin, Germany (Technical University of Berlin). Asymptotic solution of stress state of ring shell under rotationally symmetric load for the first time in 1944 in the world. In 1955, he was selected as academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (academician), and founded Shenzhen University in 1983. In 1994, he was elected the first academician of Chinese Academy of engineering. He served as the dean of Tsinghua University, vice president, honorary vice director of Tsinghua University School Council, the first president of Shenzhen University. He was vice chairman of the Association for science and technology China, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences foreign academician, vice chairman of the Federation of the World Institute of engineers, senior member of the German engineers, the state of bridge and structure engineering society, science and Technology Education Foundation President Mao Yisheng. For a long time engaged in the teaching and research work of structural mechanics and solid mechanics, which has contributed to the cultivation of mechanical talents in china. He has participated in the long-term development plan of science and technology in China for three times, and has served as the head of the civil engineering and water conservancy group and the deputy leader of the mechanical group, which has promoted the establishment and development of some new disciplines in china. Later, we made a systematic and pioneering research work on the torus shell. Editor of "literature compilation", "housing" and "world series mechanical mechanical masterpiece on" etc..
